Grapes !

Concord grapes are a cultivar derived from the grape species Vitis labrusca (a.k.a. fox grape) which are used as table grapes, wine grapes and juice grapes.  We planted ours in 2008, and in 2009 got one cluster – promptly eaten by our new puppy, Red Dog (Ingrid).  Enter 2010, and we probably have over 30 clusters – and they are good !  We have Niagara vines also, but alas, no production this year.  Being a Cleveland Browns fan, I’m used to saying “there’s always next year” !
